This year has been one of reflection for many of us and I feel like the movement to buy local and/or sustainable has gained many new fans. In truth, I count myself among them. So, since this unusual festive season is upon us, I wanted to tell you about 3 Montreal online holiday markets you cannot miss this year. More specifically, you can find a ton of lovely gifts from local artists, artisans and designers!
1. La Semaine de Artisans Récupérateurs
2. SOUK
Secondly, let’s talk about this year’s online version of SOUK, happening from November 17th to December 17th. This will be the 17th edition of “the ultimate marketplace for ideas with a unique platform for collaboration”. Here you can discover 47 local designers and makers with creations in different categories such as food & drink, fashion, kids, living and lifestyle. Head over here for the 411.
On another exciting note, SOUK is launching the SOUK Habitat on December 3d. This is an enormous and fabulous contemporary space on the 20th floor of Place Ville Marie where Montreal designers can shine and share their work with the people. Within this year’s context, you will be able to visit this retail space by appointment only.
3. Puces POP
Finally, I discovered Puces POP when I was writing my article on the POP Montreal festival. Puces POP is a marketplace featuring local artists and artisans creating everything from clothes to pottery, to visual art and it happens a few times a year! Of course this year it is all online and the holiday market is open as of December 4th. You will find more info here.
Happy shopping and enjoy discovering these Montreal online holiday markets!
